VoomNow Wants To Help You Make Purchases From Stores Outside Nigeria

Shopping on international stores like eBayAmazon, Bestbuy was hard enough for us as Nigerians, then the recession hit and our cards stopped being accepted as payment methods on almost every international e-commerce website.

Even paying for music, apps and movies across the likes of iTunes, Netflix and Google Play requires us jumping through some ridiculous hoops.

VoomNow was launched to solve exactly those problems. VoomNow is a startup that wants to help you make purchases on international stores from Nigeria. The startup offers services that cut across domain/hosting payments, purchase of valid gift cards, funding your virtual wallets with foreign currency, e-commerce assisted shopping and storage and delivery assistance.

To use the service, a customer only has to send the URL of the desired product to the company and they'll get it ready within 24 hours. That said, whether it's the purchase of physical goods or virtual items, VoomNow does not process requested items until payment has been made. Purchased items can be tracked by customers until they are delivered by a VoomNow agent within 10 days of purchase.

Their name is a mouthful, but they could really solve a pain for Nigerians. There are existing companies that offer these services in Nigeria: MallforAfrica and Order to Lagos; but there can never be too many services making life easier for us.
