Timi Ajiboye Created A Platform For Africans To Trade Bitcoin Securely
Guys. 1 Bitcoin is ₦2,967,418.19. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. What is Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system called the first decentralized digital currency - which means that it is not controlled by any one institution, bank or person. It's been very hard to trade it in Africa. Many websites have popped up to claim they trade cryptocurrency, but the authenticity of some of these sites and sellers are shady as there is no verification, so it wasn't safe to trade it. Till now.
Bitkoin Africa launched to be a community of Bitcoin sellers and buyers in Nigeria. Launched by Timi Ajiboye, Ire Aderinokun, Eke Urum on October 1, 2017, the platform makes purchasing Bitcoin easy, straightforward and secure. Every buyer and seller on the site is verified via several means before they begin trading. The site also provides escrow services which means that all Bitcoin intended for sale is first held by the site before it is dispensed to buyers. The escrow service protects buyers and sellers from fraud.
Trading on Bitkoin Africa is super easy. Just visit the website, and create an account. After your account has been created, the verification process begins and it cuts across email, phone number, BVN and bank account verifications. Once completed, you can start trading!
Select the ‘Buy/Sell’ option, type in how much Bitcoin you want to buy/sell and click “Search”. Then you can select your preferred seller. The search results display sellers/buyers, the amount of Bitcoin they are willing to buy/sell, the rate they’re buying/selling at and the minimum and maximum amount of Bitcoin they are willing to buy/sell. A unique Quickbuy feature enables anyone with an existing Bitcoin wallet make a purchase instantly. As soon as payment is confirmed, the Bitcoin wallet is credited. Bitkoin Africa also features a wallet service that allows users store Bitcoin for trading purposes as well as receiving and sending Bitcoin.
The potential benefits of cryptocurrency (and it’s underlying technology) are too glaring to be ignored and making it easy to buy and sell is part of the first steps to making sure that the entire continent doesn’t lag behind in this new era. Bitkoin Africa does that very well. And if you have any more questions, the Bitcoin Africa website has an online support service.
