African Football Legends Will Play A Charity Match In Lagos Next Year
If you miss some of the football stars that did Africa proud before retiring, then get ready to see 21 of them in action again, as they are set to storm Lagos next year for a charity match in honour of the outgoing governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Billed to take place at Onikan Stadium on March 15 and 26, the match will be between Naija Legends and Africa XI. While Nigerian football legends will make up the Naija Legends team, Africa XI will feature football legends from other African countries.
Right now, we’re stoked just hearing the names of some of the players who have been lined up for the match. Sun News Online reports that George Weah, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Kolo Toure and Stephen Appiah are some of the stars that will be playing.
The Naija Legends team will comprise of legends like Nwankwo Kanu, Samson Siasia, Jay-Jay Okocha and Ifeanyi Udeze.
