Watch Kizz Daniel Shine In The Video For DJ Neptune's 'Wait'

After just releasing the star-studded Greatness, one of our favourite Nigerian albums of the year so far, the intuitive DJ Neptune has smartly come through with the video for a standout track off the debut LP: the Kizz Daniel-assisted "Wait".

Like we said following the release of Greatness, DJ Neptune clearly knows exactly how to bring out the best in the artists he works with, which explains why "Wait" rises above almost all the Kizz Daniel features we've been flooded with this year — musically, at least.

As for lyrically, Kizz Daniel can't seem to decide what he wants the song to be about. While the brief verses find him doling out life advice ("Never envy all these evil doers/This life, brother, live right"), the chorus is just needlessly sexual ("Nneka wait, open for daddy").

The Adasa Cookey-directed music video, while stunning and well shot, doesn't do anything to clarify what the song is actually about. It follows two young dancers, who both have to overcome a couple obstacles to perform at a party being hosted by DJ Neptune. It's endearing but confusing.
