'The Handmaids Tale': Entertainment Weekly Release Striking Season 2 Covers
As a teaser for the long-awaited launch of season 2 of The Handmaid’s Tale, scheduled for April 25 on Hulu, Entertainment Weekly magazine has gathered the resistance movement of the Republic of Gilead together for a dual collector's cover.
The first cover throws the spotlight on actresses Alexis Bledel, Elisabeth Moss and Samira Wiley, who play Emily, June and Moira in the chilling dystopia adapted from the novel by Margaret Atwood. The second image features Moss again, shown wearing her iconic costume.
Blessed be the return of @handmaidsonhulu. We visited the show’s Toronto set for an exclusive preview of what’s in store for season 2 of TV’s most critically acclaimed drama. Click the link in our bio for a preview. You can pick up the group cover on newsstands starting 4/13, and the @elisabethmossofficial cover exclusively at @barnesandnoble starting 4/18. : @williamshirakawa for EW
This prized magazine also contains other exclusive photos of the three actresses, as well as previously unseen images from season 2 of The Handmaid’s Tale. The gaze of Alexis Bledel, whose character is sent to the colonies, a place often mentioned in season 1, where dissidents of the regime are sent, speaks volumes of what awaits Emily.
