Watch The Trailer For 'The Morning Show', Starring Jennifer Aniston And Reese Witherspoon

The show takes us behind the scenes on an American news show.

Netflix, Amazon and Hulu will soon be competing with Disney in the series game, but they'd do well not to forget Apple and its streaming service, Apple TV+, which will be launched this fall. The American company has just unveiled the trailer for one of its first original series, The Morning Show. It's a workplace drama set behind the scenes at a news network, which will bring together Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell.

The trailer for the series takes us on a tour around the set for the Morning Show, including the corridors, offices and TV studios. We hear the three actors discussing journalism and integrity. The series, which is based on the memoirs of Brian Stelter, a presenter and political commentator on CNN, will look back on the aggressive rivalry between TV networks to dominate the key morning slot, with competition between Today on NBC and Good Morning America on ABC particularly fierce.

The Morning Show also promises to take an intimate look at the people who wake America up each day with good, and sadly more often, bad news. This heir to Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom is being overseen by showrunner Kerry Ehrin (Bates Motel, Friday Night Lights) and director Mimi Leder (The Leftovers). Apple has already commissioned two ten-episode seasons, the first of which will be launched in the fall on Apple TV+ only.
