In Images: The Retro Collaboration Between Polaroid And 'Stranger Things'
A limited edition of the OneStep 2 designed to transport us to 1980s Hawkins.
Series lovers and nostalgic photographers will be overjoyed to hear that Polaroid is collaborating with Netflix to launch a limited edition of its OneStep 2 camera in the Stranger Things colors. The famous American brand is looking to draw on the hype created by the fantasy series, which will be back for a third season on July 4, combining two retro items into one.
Colored blue and red to match the visuals of the series, the camera echoes the original OneStep design sold in 1977. The latest model features a 60-day battery life, fixed-focus lens, built-in flash, self-timer and USB charging cable. Other nods to the Stranger Things universe include the upside down logos on the camera, which transport us into the Upside Down where the Demogorgon reigns supreme.
To top it all off, this limited edition comes with a pack of eight films allowing you to reflect the vintage aesthetic of the series. The OneStep 2 in the Stranger Things colors is available on the Polaroid website for $109.99. Here's your real-life chance to pay tribute to Jonathan Byers' Pentax K-1000, destroyed by Steve in Season 1.
The first two seasons of Stranger Things are available in full on Netflix.
