Hold On Tight: Green Day, Weezer And Fall Out Boy Have Announced A Group Tour
The three bands will be playing some of the biggest concert halls and stadiums in Europe and the USA from June 2020.
"Hella Mega Tour": that's the name given to this oversized tour. Three behemoths from the world of 90s rock will be heading out on the road together next summer. Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy will be kicking off the festivities in Paris on June 13 2020.
Inspired by the group tour by Metallica and Gun N 'Roses in 1992, this stadium tour – with a total of 28 dates – will travel Europe before visiting Seattle on July 17. Some lucky fans got a preview yesterday evening at Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, where the three groups performed a show.
The tour will feature the latest music from all three bands. Green Day have just announced the release of their forthcoming album, Father of All Motherfuckers, which should be available in February 2020. The title track has just been released.
For Weezer, a new album, Van Weezer, is set for release in May next year. One track, "The End of the Game", is already available.
As for Fall Out Boy, they haven't got a new album but they have recently released a new compilation. They revealed a new track yesterday featuring Wyclef Jean.
It's certainly a week full of good news for rock fans.
