H&M And 'Stranger Things' Launch A Summer Collection With 80's Looks From Season 3
This summer will be extra hot...
To accompany the long-awaited third season of Stranger Things, which will be available online from July 4, Netflix has established numerous collaborations with brands ranging from Polaroid to Nintendo. It comes as no surprise that a new collection of clothes has now been announced, produced jointly by the retro series and clothing giant H&M.
The items have been created by in-house designers and are made for lounging by the poolside. You'll see them worn by several actors in Season 3, which will be set in summer 1985.
The collection includes red one-piece swimsuits, "Lifeguard" vests and other "Hawkins Pool" T-shirts with a typically American "swimming pool" feel. The custom in the US is for people to spend the summer at the beach, and for those living too far from the sea, there's a real culture of "municipal swimming pool" afternoons with family and friends.
While we wait to see Mike, Eleven and the gang splashing around in the Hawkins pool, here's bad boy Billy (Dacre Montgomery) posing next to an H&M model. You might notice that the man's shirt and the jumpsuit are covered in small demogorgons, as are the women's swimming bottoms. You'll have to wait a few more weeks before you can get your hands on the items of clothing: the collection will be available online and in H&M shops from May 23.
