Decorate Your Twitter Feed With This Great British Bake Off Emoji

The Great British Bake Off starts this week – and we can barely contain our excitement.

Fans of the show are keen to see what cake-based scandals unravel this year, and although most of us will never step inside that sacred white baking tent Twitter have found a way to get us involved.

The social media site have unveiled a brand new emoji ahead of the BBC One extravaganza – which will show up each time you include #GBBO in your 140-character limit.

It features the iconic white tent decorated with bunting adorned in union jack colours.

During the finale last year people were tweeting at a rate of 2,095 tweets-per-minute, most of which discussing the people's champion Nadiya Hussain.

Her new show is also scheduled to start straight-after the episode tonight.

The Chronicles of Nadiya (as the show is known) follows the young baker as she returns to her roots in Bangladesh, the Press Association reports.

The Great British Bake Off starts at 8pm this evening on BBC 2 and will see 12 new amateurs bakers scramble to become impress Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.
