Amy Poehler, Actress, Director And Now... Wine Merchant

Leslie Knope approves.

In the series Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler – who plays Leslie Knope – has a line which fans of the program have never forgotten. At a restaurant, when a waiter asks her what wine she'd like to drink, she immediately replies: "I'll take the cheapest one you have because I can't tell the difference." Was that a premonition? Who knows. What we do know is that the actress has just opened a shop specializing in wine, where customers can enjoy tastings and have their selections delivered to their homes. Her shop is called Zula and it's located in Brooklyn, New York.

Amy Poehler opened the establishment with a musician couple (Amy Miles and Mike Robertson) who she met on the film set for the series Wet Hot American Summer, Eater reports. "I've been surrounded by wine", declared the actress and now director of the film… Wine Country. If you're hoping to bump into Amy Poehler at the shop, you'll have to be patient and cross your fingers – she spends most of her time in Los Angeles. But you can always count on the advice of her acolyte, Mike Robertson. Asked by Eater about her preferred wines, she replied with a phrase that Leslie Knope could easily have said herself: "Honestly, I’ll just drink whatever Mike recommends to me."
