A 'Stranger Things' Video Game Will Be Launched At The Same Time As Season 3

The game based on the successful series is set for release on July 4.

Nintendo has announced the launch of Stranger Things 3, a video game based on the Netflix series. Scheduled for release on July 4, the game will be available on the day the first episode of the long-awaited third season is screened. That's no coincidence, as the events in the game will coincide with those of Season 3: a multimedia vision following the adventures of the Hawkins children.

The game will allow both solo and co-op play, as well as (apparently quite free) exploration of the town. As the creators announced at the Game Awards, they focused on reproducing the "retro" feel of the series. Puzzles to solve, cooperation and twelve playable characters: Stranger Things 3 isn't short of features to win over fans of the series.

And don't worry, although Nintendo has advertised the game as a "nintendies" (indie games), it will also be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

As a reminder, as a teaser for the release of Season 2 of Stranger Things in 2017, Netflix joined forces with independent development studio BonusXP to offer a mobile game, Stranger Things: The Game. Immersed in a retro environment, players were able to wander around Hawkins finding collectibles and carrying out various missions.
