The music scene in the UK is experiencing a renaissance thanks to artists such as Stormzy, Not3s, Yxng Bane, J Hus and others.

Following J Hus' brilliant 2017 album, Common Sense – which gave us jams like "Friendly", "Did You See", "Bouf Daddy" and more – he's just released an incredible three-track EP, Big Spang, which is just enough music to get us hyped for his upcoming sophomore album.

J Hus is very versatile and he manages to cut across several genres to give us good music. This is why it's a bit confusing that black UK artists are usually boxed into one genre, and we think Big Spang is proof enough that this shouldn't be the case.

On this EP, J Hus presents a pop song with the cheeky and upbeat "Dark Vader", a straight-up grime track with "Scene", and a turn up party song with "Dancing Man".

When announcing this surprise EP on Twitter, J Hus said it's just a little taste of what's to come with a larger release, and that we should "hold tight for the album". Off the back of Common Sense and now Big Spang, we know it's about to be lit!
