'The Irishman': Here Are The First Images Of The Next Scorsese
Sitting in a bar or in the middle of a media attack, the stars of the film will take us on a journey through their hectic lives.
Available for Thanksgiving on Netflix, we finally know more about what awaits the eagerly awaited The Irishman: the first presentation of the film will take place at the New York Film Festival, whose director Kent Jones is a frequent collaborator of Martin Scorsese.
Presented on September 27, the film would therefore soon be finished after many long and painful months of working on special effects to rejuvenate actors Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. Since the story will not be told chronologically (and will, therefore, move back and forth in time), the viewer will be able to see the actors' faces, sometimes young and sometimes old.
Adapted from Charles Brandt's book I Heard You Paint Houses, the Italian-American filmmaker's new film focuses on the eventful life of hitman Frank Sheeran, aka The Irishman.
For this announcement, the streaming giant unveiled two photos of the film, after teasing us with a teaser at the last Oscar ceremony. Sitting in a bar or in the middle of a media attack, the stars of the film will take us on a journey through their turmoil, with a good dose of action.
The casting will also feature Action Bronson, Bobby Cannavale, and Harvey Keitel to recreate the New York mob of the last century.
