Colin Farrell Is Currently In Negotiations For The Role Of The Penguin In 'Batman'
And Andy Serkis might be playing Alfred!
The cast for Matt Reeves' Batman continues to grow, and looks set to do so until filming for the movie begins. After Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Mystery Man and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, another three actors are now about to join the project.
Variety reports that, according to internal sources (which we imagine are reliable, given the magazine's excellent reputation), Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis are currently negotiating to join the cast. The former would play the Penguin, one of the cult villains in Batman, while the latter is after the role of Alfred, Bruce Wayne's famous butler.
Filming is scheduled to start at the end of the year or in early 2020. In the meantime, more actors will be joining the cast. We're pretty excited that Colin Farrell will be back as a comic villain, 15 years after the mediocre Daredevil with Ben Affleck.
