People Are Getting Constellation Freckles Tattooed On Their Faces

Long gone are the days when your genes were the only ones defining your physical appearance. God didn't give you full, sultry lips – no problem, a shot of botox and you're good to go. Always wanted a bigger butt and a smaller waist without having to climb on a treadmill? Liposuction, baby. Gosh, I mean even fake dimples are a thing...

So it's no wonder the beauty industry has already found ways to replicate such a seemingly common thing as freckles. From stickers to simply dotting your skin with a colored pencil to actually tattooing them on their faces, people have been giving themselves freckles for several years now.

Now, one beautician has decided to take it a step further and give even more meaning to those wanting to adorn their complexions with some fake 'sun kisses.' Introducing astrofrecks, a budding new beauty trend coined by Jessica Knapik (@magickbrows).

Knapik, a cosmetic tattoo artist working from Depot Town Tattoo studio in Ypsilanti, Michigan, has recently shared her innovative idea with the world via Instagram. In her post, she wrote:

"Introducing #AstroFrecks. Hide the constellation for your astrological sign in your freckles! It'll be your secret."

Pretty straightforward, the goal is to tattoo the pattern of one's zodiacal constellation. In the photos shared by Knapik we see a woman getting the Virgo constellation tattooed on her cheeks. According to Jessica, it's a great way to give more meaning to a cosmetic tattoo or even a potential way to pay tribute to your loved ones.

In the photos, the freckles might look very intense and evidently fake, but as Knapik explained to Bustle, cosmetic tattoos are semi-permanent and fade over time giving off that real freckle look. Would you try astrofrecks?
