After a lengthy partnership with skate-style brand Vans, it seems Tyler, the Creator has moved on to Converse as the latest celebrity brand sponsor on their roster.
The Golf Wang crew leader recently stepped out in public to show off his new collaboration with the iconic sneaker brand, and he's calling them the "Golf Le Fleur" Converse One Stars.
Not quite as popular as the brand's canvas Chuck Taylor models, the Converse One Star is a pretty slept on shoe. It's a classic tennis sneaker style, with a sturdy suede upper and a classic molded rubber sole.
The above "Golf Le Fleur" colorway features a mustard yellow suede upper with embossed logos on the tongue and floral stitching. It’ll also come with a bumblebee logo embroidered on the back heels.
While Tyler's Vans collaborations went for louder graphic prints, such as the Odd Future donut print models, this new collaborative sneaker with Converse seems to be opting for a more understated, functional look.
On Instagram, Golf Wang Insider teased some more potential colorways of the "Golf Le Fleur" model in every flavor:
Recently, Converse announced their latest collaborative collection with Comme Des Garcons, and at the end of this month they're putting out a pack of shoes with Jordan Brand to commemorate Michael Jordan's college basketball career.
Under Nike's wing, Converse is taking some big steps to re-establish itself as a major player in the sneaker game. Getting Tyler, the Creator on board will only help them in that regard.
Stay tuned for news of additional colorways and release dates for the "Golf Le Fleur" Converse One Star.
