This Instagram Documents The Clueless T-Shirt Choices Of Shanghai Residents

Songs, books, movies - it's easy to get lost in translation these days. While English is retaining a monopoly on the capital content of pop culture, we've got to be careful when screaming out German, Korean, or Spanish lyrics in the club– yes, the word you've been singing on repeat does, in fact, mean slowly

In any case, it seems like some people in China just haven't got this memo yet, as Shanghai Observed (@shanghaiobserved) has become a genius Instagram feed that collates the very best, and hopefully completely accidental, fashion mistakes.

Everyone appreciates a bold slogan t-shirt: from "Nasty Woman" to "Comme Des Fuck Down", we've seen some catchphrases become pretty iconic in the past. But we're not quite sure which marketing team gave these ones the greenlight...

Shanghai Observed is the ongoing project of street photographer Alex Greenberg, capturing the truly irreplacable sartorial choices of everyday life in Shanghai, China. From the offensive to the downright wrong, there's something to brighten everyone's day here.

Not gender nor age-specific, Shanghai Observed celebrates the weirdest and most wonderful slogans - and the completely oblivious poster figures for them. What they don't know can't hurt them... right?

Keep up to date with Alex's work on his Instagram feed and website, and here's hoping your t-shirt isn't featured next!
