No matter how cliché the saying "travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer" may be, it's true and you should absolutely do it as much as you can! It broadens your horizons, exposes you to the diversity that exists around the world, enriches your personality and it's simply so much fun.
It does, however, cost money, and sometimes lots of it. Understanding that, JetBlue created an offer that's simply impossible to refuse.
This holiday season, the low-cost carrier teamed up with Amazon to give you "the gift of leaving" in the form of a $19.99 board game. Titled "Get Packing!" the game is designed for 3-6 players and comes with six packing boards, 60 packing cards, 48 wild cards, one die, one rulebook and one free trip certificate from JetBlue.
As Condé Nast Traveler points out, "the goal is to take a packing board and fill it up with items needed for your "trip." Whoever does it first, wins the flight.
They can either keep it or gift it to someone else. Other conditions include: flights must be booked and flown between January–December of 2018, blackout dates apply to major holidays and only residents of the U.S. who are over the age of 18 can participate.
Sounds great, doesn't it?
Well, yes, only that the Amazon listing for the game claims it's "currently unavailable" and it isn't known when it'll be back in stock. According to Business Insider, people claim the limited-edition game was never actually available. JetBlue issued a statement saying:
"Get Packing! sold out within seconds at 12:00pm ET today on Amazon. We are aware of the current situation and are working diligently with Amazon to confirm all sales are legitimate and further investigating any potential bot and/or reseller scenarios."
The company promised to restock the game on December 18 at 3:00pm ET so keep your eyes and wallets out!
