Gorge On Cookie Dough In All Its Forms At This NYC Eatery

If you were the kind of child who couldn't wait to lick the spoon the instant the cookies went into the oven, then get ready to rejoice because, thanks to New York Cookie Dō, "your sweet dreams have officially come true."

Last year, nostalgic pastry chef and cookie enthusiast Kristen Tomlan opened up a shop offering the chance to indulge in that guilty childhood pleasure: eating cookie dough straight from the bowl. Except this time around your parents aren't there to slap your hands away.

Normally, eating raw flour would be likely to give you a tummy ache, and eating raw eggs can expose us to E. coli, the bacteria behind Salmonella.

But there are no such risks at Cookie Dō: a pasteurized egg substitute and heat-treated flour effectively eliminate any danger of food-borne illness.

On the menu are colorful creations of every kind from cookie dough cones to ice cream 'sanDŌwiches,' not to mention a variety of cupcakes and half-baked brownies. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available for pick-up, delivery or even shipping.

And because Cookie Dō leaves no man, woman, child or creature behind, there's even a special snack for your four-legged friend. Made from a base of bananas, pumpkin, oats, peanut butter, almonds, honey and Milk-Bone biscuits, the Doggie DŌ is the stuff of your dog's dreams.
