This Brewery Wants To Put A Bar On The Mexican-American Border

In the heat of South Texas, there's nothing like cracking open a cold one. So Scottish brewery BrewDog knew what they were doing when they decided to open a bar right on the Mexican-American border.

The bar is just an idea for now, but we're crossing our fingers that it will be a real thing. We definitely prefer beer to border walls.

BrewDog hopes to make the bar a somewhat cultural experience by serving Mexican beers on the American side and American beers on the Mexican side. As cofounder James Watt explains:

"We're going to ask local authorities for an official permit to put a bar on the border, but no matter what happens, we're still going to put the bar there. That will make it harder for them to build the famous border wall."

This isn't the first time the craft beer company has created an unusual establishment. A few weeks ago, they announced that they were also opening a hotel dedicated to beer in the United States. So once you've had a few, you can just go straight to your room for a nap.
