Bernie's back, b*tches! This time our favorite rebel politician is looking to inspire teenagers to take a stand and create effective change through literature.
Reports show that Bernie Sanders is working on a book titled A Guide To Political Revolution, a piece of work that wants to get young people interested in politics early on and share with them the ropes of what being a progressive is all about.
The former Democratic presidential candidate shared the cover of the book last week:
As a follow up to his 2016 book A Revolution, the new title is targeted to the huge under-30 millennial audience that voted for him during the presidential race. Through infographics and illustrations, Sanders breaks down the structure of politics, touches on issues like climate change, student loans, income inequality and law enforcement reform, etc.
He then offers advice on the practical side of change, how to organize around causes and take action on progressive matters they feel close to their hearts. Speaking to Teen Vogue, he said:
"As citizens of the United States, they have a responsibility to participate in our democracy and to help create a government which works for all, rather than just the few.
This book will expose them to an unusual political campaign, the excitement of politics and what being a progressive is all about."
The book is scheduled to hit the stands this summer. You can get a copy starting August 29th for $16.99.
