Street Artist Creates Urban Safari Across Hong Kong

Street mapping expert Julien Nonnon first caught our attention last year after stamping buildings across Paris with images of couples kissing. Since then, he's been all over the world, with his digital art touching down in Orlando, Madrid, Stockholm and, most recently, Hong Kong

Invited to the capital for the Chinese New Year festivities, the artist delivered his latest project Safari Urban - HK Zoodiac Series, featuring half-human figures based around the signs of the Chinese zodiac.

Combining street, digital and performance art, the series has been photographed in order to leave a  trace of the ephemeral artwork, but also to record the reaction of passers-by to the illustrations.

While the projections are destined to disappear, Nonnen's works have a kind of double temporality as they live on in the images seen below. You can find more of Julien Nonnon's work on his personal site and Instagram page.
