Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards Unveil 2017's Hilarious Winners

Each year, the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards hand out prizes to the funniest nature outtakes of the year – and this year's selection is particularly rib-tickling.

Designed to raise funds for animal welfare charity Born Free, the awards are open to anyone around the world with a silly snap to hand. For this third edition, participants from 86 different countries offered a total of 3,500 entries of 2017's most amusing, surprising or just plain ridiculous photos.

Among the winners are a thrilled dormouse wearing a little flower crown, an owl falling off a branch, two monkeys on a scooter and a sea turtle giving her fishy friend a slap. Check out the winning photos just below.

Rédactrice en chef de Cheese et ex-Sorbonnarde, on ne m’a pas demandé si j’aimais le fromage avant d’arriver ici. Mais j’aime bien le fromage, donc tout va bien.
