Although the official figures have not been made public, Nielsen Media Research claim Stranger Things 2 attracted more than 15 million viewers within the first three days.
But, perhaps more shockingly, the figures show that one person in the UK watched the Bee Movie 357 times during 2017 – or almost once a day for an entire year.
The 2007 animated movie from Dreamwork Studios has become a popular online meme, gaining an ironic legion of fans on YouTube and Tumblr.
According to the Netflix data obtained by the Press Association, Greenleaf, a series about a family and their sprawling megachurch in Memphis, was the most "devoured" show in the in 2017.
The term refers to shows watched for more than two hours per day.
American Vandal, a spoof true crime drama, was the second most popular show to devour, followed by Riverdale, Cable Girls, Anne With An E and Ingobernable.
And controversial teen drama 13 Reason Why was the 10th most devoured show.
Netflix also revealed the shows fans where most likely watch without consulting their viewing partners first.
Orange Is The New Black is most likely to make viewers cheat on their significant other, followed by Stranger Things, Narcos, 13 Reasons Why and Star Trek: Discovery.
Riverdale, Marvel's Iron Fist, Ozark, Better Call Saul and The Crown also prompted fans to cheat and watch ahead.
