It's an inalterable ritual that all young actors have to go through: the audition stage.
But before they even get to read a script in front of a team of screenwriters or producers, the budding hopefuls have to send off a tape showing their best work – which, luckily for us, means video evidence of their pre-fame lives.
Today, we've come across the Stranger Things kids' audition tapes of the show's five little stars in the making. Sat around a table with the Duffer brothers, the teens watch back their performances, resulting in cringing and a bit of light mockery.
We also learn that at the very beginning of the show, Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) was 13, Finn Wolfhard (Mike) and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) were 12 while Millie Bobbie Brown (Eleven) and Noah Schnapp (Will) were just 10 and 11, respectively. Who knew.
