With TV renewals in full swing, fans are learning the fate of all their favorite shows. Following ABC, CBS and Fox, it was The CW's turn to unveil its upcoming schedule – and it's good news for Riverdale fans.
Because contrary to earlier plans, the teen drama is set to return this autumn and not mid-season 2018 as was first announced.
The series' first season ended on a cliffhanger with Fred Andrews shot at during a robbery at Pop's. Beyond the family problems of his friends, it seems that Archie will have to face much more dramatic events closer to home.
While we're not sure of Fred's destiny, we do know that Archie is set to go much darker in season two. Basically, there are a lot of questions to be answered in this new batch of episodes.
This time around, the show will be aired on Wednesday instead of Thursday and will be made up of 22 episodes instead of 13.
The CW has also renewed The Flash, Supergirl, The 100, Arrow, Jane The Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
