Now, the series is getting another chance to swoon fans and critics.

One caveat to consider, however, is that Michael Scott – played by Steve Carell –won't be returning to the show. Carell exited the series after season seven, and returned once again for the series finale in 2013. However, a search is already underway to find a new star to take over as Dunder Mifflin's regional manager. While NBC is being hush hush about the revival thus far, this does look like a sure thing. With this in mind, 2018 could already be looking up for all of us.
