The technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda was first presented to Marvel fans in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But it wasn't until Captain America: Civil War that we came across the imaginary country's legendary superhero.
Just a year on from the movie and the Black Panther has touched down in a first trailer for his very own movie. And the least we can say is that it looks pretty epic.
Taking place after the events of Civil War, Marvel's Black Panther will see the return of King T'Challa to Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. But when an old enemy returns, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to secure the safety of his people.
Over a musical background of Run the Jewels, the new teaser for Marvel's first black superhero blockbuster mixes up insane action scenes with stunning landscape shots.
Most of all, however, the clip serves as a reminder of the movie's unbelievable cast bringing together old faces (Chadwick Boseman, Florence Kasumba, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman) and new (Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, and Daniel Kaluuya).
You can catch Black Panther in theaters from February 16, 2018.
