Marilyn Manson is officially back. The polemic musician announced at RadioZane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show the launch of Heaven Upside Down, his new album, and unveiled a brand new song called "We Know Where You Fucking Live." Check out the intense track below:
"What's a nice place like this doing around people like us?" Manson growls in the chorus. But there is a very unexpected source of inspiration for the new 10-track LP: Rihanna. Manson revealed to Consequence of Sound how a live performance of the pop star behind hits like Work and Diamonds influenced the album:
"Strangely enough, one of the records that influenced this album strongly, and it can’t be taken literally, is Rihanna, her last record. That one song, Love On The Brain, it really hit me because I saw her perform it and she just… meant it."
But this is not the only new project Manson is working on currently: he is also teaming with rising rap star Lil Uzi Vert, who has been very outspoken throughout his career about Marilyn Manson's influence on his music.
The rapper is working on a rock album and Manson has high hopes for it: "Not some rock/rap type of thing, something special and new that I think needs to be created just to f*ck the world up more."
Heaven Upside Down will be released October 6th and is available for pre-order now.
