Listen: Gorillaz Invites Pusha T And Mavis Staples On 'Let Me Out'

Grace Jones, De La Soul, Kelela, Kali Uchis, Danny Brown, Benjamin Clementine... The artists featuring on Gorillaz ' new album are an all-encompassing collection of talent. After inviting the Jamaican star Popcaan on "Saturnz Barz", Vince Staples on "Ascension", Jehnny Beth (from Savages) on "We've Got the Power" and D.R.A.M. on "Andromeda", the band is treating us to "Let Me Out", a new track from Humanz, with rapper Pusha T and singer Mavis Staples, star of the soul and blues scene.

In an interview with Zane Lowe last Wednesday (April 5) on the DJ's Beats1 show, Damon Albarn, admitted that quite a few tracks hadn't been chosen to be part of Humanz –including a collaboration with Little Simz. "I'm in the process of checking over all the tracks that didn't quite work, to make them better", he said. All in all, there's around forty-five unfinished tracks, enough to "stay in the game for about eighteen months".
