Alongside returning stars Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Christine Baranski, it seems Baby Driver celeb Lily James will be making an appearance – playing none other than young Donna herself! James is also known for her roles in Downtown Abbey and in Disney live-action Cinderella.

The sequel, titled Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, will indeed actually be a prequel, as the film will go back and forth in time exploring how relationships seen in the first film were born and how they later evolved.

Mamma Mia's producers will get back together for the film, and will be joined by ABBA stars Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus as executive producers, who will also provide music and lyrics.

The new Mamma Mia is set to premiere July 2018, coming ten years after the first film grossed more than $600 million worldwide. Keep an eye out for it!
