It's Confirmed, Season 8 Of 'American Horror Story' Will Be Entitled 'Apocalypse'

It's crazy how before each new season of American Horror Story, it feels like we're being bombarded with information... when really we know nothing about what lies ahead. Teasing is an art which the FX network masters perfectly. The rumors about Season 8, carefully orchestrated by the production team, continue. And, as we suspected, the season really will be entitled Apocalypse

No more, no less. American Horror Story promises nothing less than the end of the world. What seemed at one point to be two different projects — a crossover season between Murder House and Coven and another about the apocalypse — is actually a single season. This won't be the first time we've been fooled by Ryan Murphy, the series' excellent but crazy creator.

Nevertheless, teasing continues to work, and you can find two of the famous posters for which the series is renowned on the network's Twitter account, which are reminiscent of the posters for Season 1. As a reminder: Vivien (played by Connie Britton) was depicted against a red background, pregnant, with her unborn baby coveted by a creature dressed entirely in black latex.

Season 8 of American Horror Story will be launched on FX on September 12.
