Bored of the usual humdrum of job interviews and paperwork, Scottish whiskey distiller Grant's decided to add a little spice to their hiring process. On the hunt for a new global ambassador, the whiskey giant has launched an open contest made up of three stages.
For the first phase, participants will be invited to wow the judges with new recipes containing three ingredients – one of which is whiskey, of course – before 20 shortlisted hopefuls are invited to Grant's family home in Speyside to complete drinks related challenges.
Saving the best for last, the final stages of selection will see three lucky whiskey connoisseurs offered the chance to tour the world with a wee dram in hand.
But of course, this won't be any ordinary journey. Over ten days, the three finalists will retrace the steps taken in 1909 by Charles Grant Gordon on his epic voyage to introduce the whiskey to the rest of the world.
Accompanied by a videographer recording the once-in-a-lifetime trip, the hopefuls will each take on three of the nine countries traveled by Gordon. Liaising with local teams on site, the contestants will roam from Poland to India, Taiwan to Australia, passing by Russia and Israel.
Cocktail gurus, visionary bartenders and whiskey enthusiasts are all invited to take part in the competition which requires no previous experience. If you're interested, applications are open up to August 30. Apply here!
