'Game Of Thrones' Started Filming Its Last Ever Season

After welcoming the cast of Game of Thrones for the past seven years, Belfast has opened the doors to its special TV guests for the final time. Touching down in the Northern Irish capital, the show's stars have been spotted on planes, strolling the streets and taking selfies with fans.

According to BuzzFeed, the show's biggest names are currently residing in Belfast with John Bradley, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Ben Crompton all seen on location.

While Lena Headey has not yet been spotted, one fan has confirmed the presence of Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund in the show. The last we heard, the character was at death's door following the White Walkers' attack.

It looks like the character has survived, then, which is more than we can say for his pal Beric Dondarrion; Richard Dormer, who plays Beric, has not yet been seen on location which does not look like a good sign.

With Kit Harington and Rose Leslies' wedding holding up filming, we're glad to see the gang are finally getting down to work. Nonetheless, the six episodes of the season will take at least twelve months to film meaning we still won't be seeing the last chapter until early 2019 at the earliest.
