'Fantastic Beasts 2' Unveils Newt Scamander's Visa In First Mysterious Teaser

Determined to keep all eyes on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise – apparently set to stretch to five films in total – Warner Bros. has been dropping hints every Wednesday about the upcoming second movie.

As part of its 'Wizarding Wednesday,' the production company has been unveiling anecdotes, details about new characters, competitions... and now a first photo.

Stamped with the official Ministry of Magic logo, the document seems to suggest that our hero Newton Scamander, aka Norbert Dragonneau, is set for some travels. However, it looks as though the institution is reluctant to issue the visa owing to the fact that the subject was "uncooperative and evasive on reasons for last trip." Curious.

Fans are now racking their brains to come up with the answers. Is the document talking about his move to New York in the first film? Or is this a different trip altogether?

The sneak peek has, however, unveiled certain bits of information about the character's identity, such as his personal address and his date of birth (February 24, 1892, meaning he was around 34 in the first film).

Set for release on November 14, 2018, Fantastic Beasts 2 will be directed by David Yates again and is set to star Eddie Redmayne. An official title has not yet been revealed.
