With a year to go until the release of the highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts 2, the folks at Warner Bros. are already teasing the sequel in a big way. Today, the studio has finally unveiled an image of the movie's five-star cast, giving us a sneaky first look at Jude Law in the role of Dumbledore. We've also learned that the movie's official title will be Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Set to take place a few months after the first film, the movie is apparently set to follow the misdeeds of Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), Dumbledore's former friend turned foe. Eagle-eyed fans may notice that Gellert is seen carrying the fearsome Elder Wand, aka. the most powerful wand in the universe.
A few new faces are featured in the photo, most notably Norbert's big brother Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), described as "a celebrated war hero and the Head of the Auror Office at the British Ministry of Magic."
Playing his wife will be Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, who "had once been close to Newt Scamander but is now engaged to his brother." Interestingly, we also see Ezra Miller return as Credence, who we believed to be dead at the end of the first film.
He's accompanied by Claudia Kim as Maledictus, "a person afflicted with a curse that turns them into a wild beast." All that's missing is Nicolas Flamel and the family would be complete.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to hit the screens on November 16, 2018. In the meantime, you can check out the photo for more clues.
