'Dragon Ball Super' To Get Anime Movie In December

With Dragon Ball Super fans anxiously awaiting the outcome of the Jiren/Goku battle at the Tournament of Power, Akira Toriyama and his team of animators are preparing a twentieth film in the saga. While the release of this new feature seems to mark the very end of the anime saga, it does mean we'll get a little bit more screen-time before we say our final goodbyes.

As Toriyama recently clarified:

"The Dragon Ball Super movie this time around will be the next story that takes place after the anime that's currently on TV. The content will shed a little light on previously unexplored topics having to do with Frieza and the Saiyans, and I think it will be a very enjoyable story that serves up a long-awaited formidable opponent!"

It seems as though the film will be focused on Universe 6 and Planet Sadala, where Cabba, Caulifla and Kale are from. We assumed Goku and his Universe 7 pals would be absent from the story but this recently released poster seems to suggest otherwise. Long-time fans will be delighted to see him front and center, with his Nyoi-Bo in hand.

As well as unveiling a first poster for the flick, Yonkou Productions has also dropped a rather surprising official release date for December 14 2018. We can't wait.
