Shot into pop culture stardom by Netflix, Stranger Things has inspired no end of artists, professional and amateur, to create their own homages to the fictional universe. When the show's characters aren't being turned into X-Men, the series is getting a luxury hotel room or a range of new vinyls in its honor.
The latest creation to date comes from Butcher Billy, a self-described "pop culture mean butcher." Don't fret, though, because the artist has not butchered our sweet Hawkins angels – far from it, actually.
Instead, the Brazilian-native has simply come up with his own interpretation of what the show would look like as a retro pulp paperback series.
"Stranger Things is basically what it would be like if someone entered inside my head, dragged all the stuff out and made a series about it," fanboy Butcher Billy explained to io9.
Taking inspiration of the nine installments of season two, each one has been given its own vintage book cover illustrated with the '80s references used in the episode.
This isn't the first time Butcher Billy has tackled the world of series after he created a comic book cover range for the excellent fourth season of Black Mirror just a few months ago. You can check out his 'Stranger Tales' below and catch more of his work via his Tumblr page.
