An Open-World 'Adventure Time' Game Is Set To Arrive In 2018

2018 will see the end of Adventure Time the series, after a total of ten seasons. Farewell Finn, Jake and al from the Land of Ooo.

Don't be sad though: it's not really over, as the series will carry on as a video game. Next spring (there's no official release date yet), budding explorers will be able to wander around a game version of the kingdoms.

In the cunningly titled Pirates of the Enchiridion, players will take control of four characters from the Cartoon Network series, namely Finn, Jake, BMO and Marceline.

The game is built as an open-world environment, so you'll be free to roam every nook and cranny of the Land of Ooo. There is a loose plot though: a flood has separated the characters from one another and your task is to reunite them all so they can investigate the disaster.

According to Outright Games, players will be using various weapons, potions and spells and will navigate the land by boat, which fans will be asked, from January 2018, to christen.

The game will be available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC. Even better news: the characters will be voiced by the original cast. What's not to like hey? Now for a release date...
