In a last bid to celebrate the year's cinematic best, 200 critics from around the world have joined forces for this (un)official ranking of 2017's top movies.
Featuring film experts from the likes of Time, Variety and Entertainment Weekly, the effort – led by Indie Wire – is said to be the largest international critics survey of its kind.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of the list is made up of the most talked-about films of the year, with Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and highly acclaimed Get Out hitting the top spots. Sandwiched in between those is Greta Gerwig's solo directorial debut Lady Bird.
At the same time, the list also contains a number of independent films that have been given a bit less media attention, such as The Florida Project or A Ghost Story.
Of course the year's biggest commercial successes – including Wonder Woman and Star Wars – have also made the cut, alongside a couple of foreign-language features. Check out the ranking in full below and enjoy working your way through the critics-approved selection.
