Watch: Tupac Biopic 'All Eyez On Me' Has A New Official Trailer

A new trailer for the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me has just come out – and all we can say is we can't wait to see the film. The biopic retraces the life of the legendary 1990s rapper, focusing in on his journey as an artist, poet and activist.

The feature-length film begins in his childhood with his parents who were Black Panthers and goes all the way up to his tragic assassination in Las Vegas in 1996.

The film is directed by Benny Boom, who has worked on music videos for artists like 50 Cent, Nicky Minaj and Lil' Wayne. Tupac is played by actor Demetrius Shipp Jr., who looks exactly like him.

The cast also includes Jamal Woolard in the role of Biggie for a second time (he played Biggie in Notorious B.I.G. which came out in 2009).

All Eyez on Me comes to theaters on June 16.
