In November, we reported that a number of African football legends will play a charity match in Lagos in honour of the outgoing governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
As the send-off celebrations are getting closer, we now know there are more sporty activities to be expected in Lagos, and one of them is a football clinic for teenagers to be held by former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia.
The Guardian reports that over 1,000 boys and girls aged between 13 and 17 will benefit from the upcoming clinic. According to the organizers, the idea behind the soccer clinic is to impart basic knowledge of football to the teenagers to help them develop the right skills.
Although Siasia will be leading the clinic, he isn’t the only coach lined up to make the clinic a success. He will be working with 29 other top coaches from across Nigeria. The clinic will hold between January 28 and February 1 at the Campos Mini Stadium on Lagos Island.
Interested teenagers can visit the Match for Ambode website to register.
