The paperback vs. e-book war is one that has been waged by book snobs the world over since the latter became a viable option.
While we understand why you wouldn't want to give up the memorable scent of a new book or the thrill that comes with every single page turn, you can't deny that when it comes to cost, convenience and access, e-books are unrivaled.
You, reading a really interesting book:
This is why Ugo Okoye's mobile library, Flip, is so exciting. Launched earlier this year, Flip offers users unlimited access to thousands of books – both fiction and nonfiction – on any device, without needing to install an app.
Flip uses a subscription-based model, using mobile airtime. With as low as ₦25 daily or ₦100 weekly, users can access an unlimited amount of books on the platform. While it's only available to 9Mobile users at the moment, Ugo plans on expanding to other networks soon.
