Ayo Filade's Weird Pencil Drawings Are Incredibly Realistic – And Cool As Hell

26-year-old, Ayo Filade, is an incredibly talented artist who refers to his style as a mixture of the art movements, surrealism and hyperrealism – where he uses only pencils to either draw simple portraits or create unnerving, illogical scenes with (almost) photographic precision.

Speaking with Kumanation about what inspires his work, Ayo Filade said:

"My creativity begins from within. I am inspired by the workings of the mind; the complexity of it. I am intrigued by the ability to analyze and to create. I’m also inspired by nature."

"I love to create with a message – this is what I think art is about. Most of my series have been inspired by personal experiences. My art speaks my mind, my thoughts, opinions and experience."

Recently, Ayo successfully exhibited his work alongside nine other hyperrealistic artists at the Insanity art exhibition held at the Omenka Gallery, Lagos – and we can't to see what this massive talent does next.

You can check out the rest of his work on his Instagram and Facebook page.
