As an artist who's been around for a while now, Danagog still seems entirely unable to hold our attention without the help of bigger and better stars. His most popular singles, "Hookah" and "Bamidele", soared thanks to features from former label boss, Davido.
For his latest single "Bambiala", the story isn't that much different. His heavyweight features, Mayorkun and Davido, completely steal the show, with very little effort.
Produced by Fresh, "Bambiala" feels like all those raps songs you only tolerate for their stellar choruses. In this case, though, the afropop track leaves you tolerating Danagog's lackluster delivery to get to his much better features.
On "Bambiala" (which means "Beggar"), all three artists share their perspective on an insatiable lover that leaves them broke. The song's standout performer is definitely Davido, who continues to be the best thing on every song he appears on.
The music video, which was directed by Dammy Twitch, is pretty basic. It features the expected club scenes, shots of the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and a whole lot of twerking.
