Wani's Debut EP, 'Lagos City Vice' Is The Perfect Soundtrack For The City's Vibe

Wani's talent is hard to ignore, as he first got our attention with his stellar refix of Drake's "Blem" and then kept us interested with his feel-good song, "Raining". This is why we were super excited for the release of his debut EP, Lagos City Vice, and it definitely exceeded our expectations.

Short and sweet, the EP perfectly encapsulates that vague Lagos vibe. If you live in the city, you'll understand how hard it is to explain, however, Lagos City Vice captures it without feeling forced or pretentious.

With six different and dynamic tracks, Wani doesn't stray away from the sound which attracted listeners to him in the first place, and he certainly shows off his ear for music by fusing afropop, dancehall and contemporary r&b.

The standout songs on the EP sample iconic tracks from our childhood such as 2face's "Keep On Rocking" on "2Face Riddim", Eminem's "Without Me" on "MVP", and Craig David's "Booty Man" on "234" (our fave), making the entire project even more enjoyable.
