Following an impressive 2018 run, Niniola kicked off the new year with a fantastic Sarz-produced gem, "Designer". Then a few weeks ago, the undisputed afro-house queen came through with another banger, "Boda Sodiq", which she has now dropped a fitting music video for.
While we all know that a Niniola and Sarz pairing is a tried and tested recipe for a killer track, the gifted singer has now decided to test other waters, enlisting the talents of Burna Boy's frequent producer, Kel P, and the decision certainly pays off.
Much like her other songs, "Boda Sodiq" is a definite party-starter — one that will easily get listeners on their feet. Against the super catchy and energetic beat, she sings about the titular man, who she has had a terrible sexual encounter with.
In the video, Niniola watches herself being taken advantage of on a drunken night out. While just like the song, the vibe of the video is fun and vibrant, it sends across a very important message about consent, which is timely, given the current climate.
