DAP Continues To Show Off His Range On New Track, 'Sanctified'

Last year, DAP The Contract had two brilliant EPs, Contract Thursdays Part 1 & 2, which found him releasing a different song every Thursday. With standout releases such as "Special" and "Open Letter II", he whet our appetites for more music, which he has now satisfied with "Sanctified".

"Sanctified" is the first song off an upcoming EP, where he sings about being sanctified and the power of God's presence in his life. Without sounding preachy and pretentious like most Nigerian gospel songs, DAP channels a trap sound, with lots of syncopation and harmony. The up-tempo beat accompanies the lyrics well and makes "Sanctified" a nice feel-good jam.

We say it all the time, but DAP's sound constantly evolves with each project and his artistic growth is not one to sleep on. Just like in the Contract Thursdays EPs, "Sanctified" includes an eclectic mix of sounds, allowing DAP to show off his musical range and ability, and we're definitely looking forward to hearing more from the new EP.
