Which Nigerian Artist's Album Are You Most Hopeful For In 2019?

If 2017 is best remembered, in the music world, for Davido's unprecedented onslaught of mega-hits, then 2018 will probably go down as the year of the album. Right from Burna Boy's outstanding magnum opus, Outside, Nigerian artists held their own on their projects throughout the year.

Joining DAP The Contract's inspiring visual album, Everybody Falls In The Summerwere phenomenal debut albums, from Mayorkun and Odunsi , as well as other exceptional releases from more established acts — from Adekunle Gold's About 30 to Seun Kuti's Grammy-nominated Black Times.

Unfortunately, despite having promised us albums, some of our favourites — Davido, Wizkid and Ycee specifically — went completely silent when it came time to actually deliver. In this new year, we at Konbini are hoping to finally get to hear the mastery these artists have teased.

We are also hopeful to get projects from the likes of Reekado Banks, Johnny Drille and other acts that have our attention right now, so from 2018's biggest breakout star, Teni, to the ultra-gifted sounds of Santi, which Nigerian artist are you most keen on getting an album from this year?
